General Conference

General Conference is so much fun, being right here in our neighborhood.  There is a positive energy everywhere.  Our building is full of visiting grandkids and friends, and the streets are full of conference-goers.

The girls set up their spots...

During the Priesthood session we girls made cornmeal, pumpkin donuts.

We always have enough to share.  We decided to offer them to our neighbors.  Tennie and Ceci painted on some chocolate mustaches for delivery.  At one neighbor's we were invited in to share with her guests; there were about forty people in there from Japan!  They took pictures of the mustaches.

After the Priesthood Session Geoff and the girls were playing soccer in the hallway.  Soon the neighbor's six grandchildren joined in, and then the other neighbor's two younger guests jumped in.  It was lively until 9:30PM.

You can't tell, but at this point six kids were playing against Geoff
I love this weekend.  It is slow and relaxed and we are all inspired to do and be a little better.  As a family we resolve to be more kind, more outward focused, and have a renewed commitment to center our lives on the Savior.

Catching Up...

Our days are full of learning and activity; I hardly seem to have a spare hour.  I have only a handful of pictures from the last two weeks, but it will give you a glimpse of some of the extra things we have squeezed in.

The girls took joined in the Meet My Grandma challenge to provide some stories about the Mormor they miss terribly
Ceci took apart her birthday stereo
We played a little family football in Memory Grove
We attended a concert at the Cathedral of the Madeleine.  It was our first time inside and it is gorgeous!  We sat right behind our sister-in-law, Liz's, cute parents!  It was so fun to see them.
Tennie finished up the first level of her acting class with a rooftop BBQ.  Her instructor Lance has become a family friend who loves Tennie's exuberance and talent.
We've had some rainy soccer games!  It sure is fun watching Adele and Ceci play!
