As much as we were loving all of the amazing sights and new places so far in our trip, we all welcomed a change of pace. Visiting with familiar friends and having an open schedule made Sweden a favorite memory.
After jumping on the tramp and playing outside until dark (10:45ish) the girls all went to bed feeling revived. Thursday morning we had a relaxing morning. Sister Malm came to say hello (her husband, Elder Malm, died the Tuesday after our visit from a long battle with cancer.) We packed up a picnic lunch and took the Malm's boat out to the very islands we passed coming in on the ferry.
Elder and Sister Malm have 8 children, and 6 of them live nearby. Each sibling, with their family, joined us on their boat on this little beach. Their dynamic and familiarity felt like we were hanging out at Tahoe with Geoff's siblings! (Thankfully all spoke perfect English!) The kids all ran off exploring the rocks while we adults had long conversations, uninterrupted. We loved getting to know them all better.

We stayed all afternoon and evening. It was a perfect day.
Carl, Matilda and family were perfect hosts.
