After a yummy brunch we went to church, then spent some hours at the St. George temple visitor center watching Easter movies. We lingered too late to have our Easter dinner of fish with honeycomb, but we'll squeeze that in tomorrow.

My soul felt enlarged all day. I was so overcome with gratitude for my knowledge that Christ, in fact,
did rise after three days, and that we, too, will rise to live again. And with all of his suffering in Gethsemane and on the cross I am overwhelmingly grateful that he suffered for not only my weaknesses, which lead to sin, but for all of my mortal suffering...today...right now. It was a day of rejoicing.
We finished our Easter pageantry with the events at the empty tomb, and Jesus appearing to his disciples.
Mary Magdalene and other women discovering the empty tomb
An angel asking Mary why she weepeth
Jesus telling Mary not to touch him, for he hasn't ascended to his Father, yet
Mary running to the disciples to tell them the good news. Here he is trying to get in the secured door where the disciples were hiding...
Jesus...stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. (St. John 20:19-20)
HAPPY EASTER
