In the Temple
We continued our "Easter Pageant", as the girls call it, today. We read about how Jesus went to the temple (even though that really happened Sunday evening when he rode triumphantly into Jerusalem), and his displeasure with the "den of thieves".
Tennie played Jesus...he entered and threw over the tables and cast out the money changers...
As he spent the next few days teaching in the temple he healed many that were sick...
including grandmas...
The chief priests and scribes weren't happy to see the wonderful things he did. They didn't approve of the children singing, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" But Jesus told them that if the children didn't sing his praises the rocks would...
After today's reading we gathered together to talk how Jesus would feel in our home. How might he cleanse it? It got me thinking...in what way do I defile the love and purpose and spirit of our "home"? That is a humbling self-introspection...
