On the drive from Switzerland to Menton, France we had a difficult time deciding between a stop-over in our favorite Chamonix or exploring the Lake District in Northern Italy. We opted for a discovering a new place, Bellagio.
Our Airbnb was perfectly located on an accessible street away from the noise and busyness of the main street of town. It had views of the lake and a bed for everyone. Hooray!
We had one day to enjoy this beautiful island and area. After some breakfast we fed some ducks, by the dozens!
We then got a private boat tour of the surrounding area with all of it's fancy villas. What a way to see Bellagio too!
We explored the skinny streets and shops and had a late lunch.
We got gelato (always a highlight).
One could not ask for a more gorgeous setting to swim!
We walked across town and found a place to jump off a wall into the water...at sunset.
It was a full and perfect day.
