The end of our trip had come. Adele was off to London for two weeks with her friend, Esther Schwartz. We took her to the airport and sent her off on her first big independent, international adventure.
Tennie had a flight to Paris for a 3-week internship just a few hours later, but complications (typical to this overall trip) due to an Air France strike first delayed her flight and then canceled it altogether. After some miraculous events, we booked her on a flight the next morning before Geoff, Ceci and I headed back to Utah. Good thing we planned this extra day in case of complication!
Instead of exploring old town Nice for the afternoon, we spent the day at the airport, but we did get out to eat at an outdoor cafe and get some gelato before doing our final packing up.
Tuesday we got Tennie off to Paris and we headed home to Utah. It is always wonderful to be on American soil.
