Burma

Geoff returned from a Young Global Leader summit in Burma last weekend.  He had an amazing time exploring the culture of that unique country, and loved getting together with his great friends.  The conference was amazing too, but I'm not going to cover that part here.

A small group went north to visit Bagan where there are 4000 pagodas in 26 square miles.

Originally used as sunscreen, women and children use a plant to create a paste to cover their faces like make-up

A group rented bikes one day and came across some boys playing volleyball and joined in.  Towards the end Geoff went to a little corner market and bought out the store owner's cooler of cold beverages.  They were passed out to all of the players and villagers that came to watch.

Some of the YGLs learned how to meditate with a Buddhist monk in a monastery - right up Geoff's alley!

On the way home he had an extended layover in LA to visit his parents and his brother Christian and his wife Heather.
