Menton

I'm terribly behind on posting pictures from this past week. I decided to lump together all pictures taken of Menton throughout the week.
This is a garden seen looking down from Boulevard de Garavan on the way to Old Town

At the end of Garavan before going down into the windy streets of Old Town there is a cemetery with the best views in town

And then walking down into Old Town...

A stop at the basilica

The square in front of the basilica (the basilica out of the picture to the right)

A little street off the basilica square

The little path goes down...

and down

passing little balconies...

and painted details...

with bright-colored walls and shutters along the way

Heading out the other way on Garavan... (that's Geoff's mom on the back of the scooter with Geoff)

down past the olive grove and through this cute little stone tunnel

...past seafront restaurants
In the middle of town is the Palais de L'Europe which houses the tourist office, among other things

There is a beautiful park with views of the lush mountains behind Menton

And a few miscellaneous pictures...

Another picture of the view from our patio

Lunch on the balcony

Tennie and Nikki snorkeling in the sea

Natural bathroom solutions...
