Sunday

Mesha and Nikki came to church with us. The girls happily took them to primary and introduced them to their church friends.

Tennie and McKayla, whose mom is learning about the gospel but works on Sunday and can't come to church. McKayla sits with us during sacrament meeting and has become a good little friend.

It was testimony meeting, where members of the congregation have an opportunity to stand up and share their personal experiences and testimonies of truth. Geoff and I both stood up for the first time; Geoff translated for me. Many people had forgotten that our time in France was only a short time, and a few people stood up and talked about the impact Geoff had on the young men. Our good friend Rafael, a member of the stake presidency, stood and gave us a formal good-bye and thank you. It was very nice and helped us realize how much we would miss this great group of friends.

After church we walked to Cimiez (the church and monastery) for a picnic.

Geoff was joking around while taking a picture of Mesha and captured this fabulous close-up. It speaks a thousand words about her.

I love Adele's face. They are playing "old lady"...they all have canes.

Geoff picked up our moped on the way home, driving very slowly. He didn't want to ride in his suit so he took what clothes were available...a pair of swim trunks and a shirt of Nikkie's that were in the trunk. He's clearly unphased about what people think of him...
