I'm still writing about past events here. The day after our long trip (February 20th) we heard that there was a kid's carnival downtown. Similar to other carnivals the dress code was costume. It was a beautiful, sunny day.
Geoff and his princesses, who were very excited to have another excuse to dress up
Turns out there was a parade that included every single school class in Menton, all dressed up. There were lemon-clad floats blaring music and blowing bubbles, over-sized clowns, and the streets were lined with bleachers filled with people enjoying the kid parade. Here they are stopped mid-parade.
Ceci didn't like being a target
The music float parked itself in a big square, a live DJ played loud, party music, and bags and barrels of confetti were pulled out. Everyone got in a huge confetti fight - kids against kids, kids against adults, and kids against grandparents. It went on for 30 minutes. When you ran out of confetti you simply scooped up handfuls off the ground. We had so much fun getting into the confetti fight and dancing to the music...it was hands down the biggest party we've ever been to.
