Ville Franche and Cannes via train

On Friday we decided to take the train and stop when we felt like it, which ended up being Ville Franche Sur Mer.

Ceci was mad about something and I happened to have my camera ready...seconds later she broke out laughing.

Ville France is a quaint little coastal town with pastel colored buildings and a cute little inlet full of boats.

The old town has little alleys/walkways down to the water...

...and bright-colored buildings

We ate at a deliciously fresh, waterfront restaurant. Seafood here comes as caught, with eyes, fins, feelers and bones. We all had a good laugh trying things out.
Feeling ambitious we hopped back on the train and continued to Cannes. We arrived in the evening and were generally unimpressed. (In our opinion we live in the most beautiful part of the French Riviera.) Cannes was glitze without nice architecture. There was a guy that had made a really cool sand sculpture, though!

Hey, Jason and I are coming to Cannes in June. Will you still be there? :)
