Why we're here

As many of you know, we have closed down life in Redmond, Washington and have moved to a little villa in Menton, France, a town on the Mediterranean Sea with a year-round subtropical climate. After seven years as head of a successful start-up, Geoff literally wore out his life! With his health declining fast our doctor recommended a year off with minimal responsibility, a controlled, healthy diet, and sun (YES! Doctor's orders!!!) After a few months of intense reflection on what would be the best for Geoff and our family, Geoff stepped down as CEO of Unitus, we sold our house, and moved as far away from responsibility as we could get! When something is meant to be things fall into place to make it happen...that is how it was getting to France. We can't deny that God has given us this year to rest, recover and spend time together as a family, and we feel greatly blessed. We arrived September 2, 2008 and will be here through June 2009. What's next? Who knows...for now we're just enjoying 'being'.

This blog is a simple effort to give our interested friends and family a view of our life here, and we hope you'll make a comment now and again!

Dear Geoff and Darcie,

I chuckled and grinned at some of your adventures. Thank you for doing this so we can keep up. We love you, Sharla and the Dance crew
