Marine Biology Camp - Day Nine

Final Countdown..

Hey guys this is the LOD Miles and Joaquin for day 9 in San Salvador. Everyone woke up at 7:00 just like any normal day and headed to breakfast at 7:30. We all knew it was our final day and it was hard to have our last breakfast together at Gerace. After breakfast all of our stomachs were full from eating eggs, muffins and toast. After breakfast we all went to the lab to clean up the beautiful pile of mess we made. we were there at about 8:00 and had till 10:10 to pack, clean up and make the place better than when we found it. We all packed our bags and put them on big bertha "The Truck", Thats what Joaquin started calling it. We then took off to the airport. We stopped off and had some ice-cream while waiting for our flight and entertained the locals with our knee slapping game. The flight was beautiful and we all enjoyed seeing the reefs from above.

When we arrived from the airport in Nassau we picked up our bags and called John the taxi driver. We then made our way back to the Orange Hill Inn and it was nice to have air conditioning again. After arriving we all ordered lunch and ate a good meal at the restauraunt. We all went swimming in the pool and it was nice not having to taste the salt. After a nice swim and playing marco polo and handstands we headed to the beach. Caden, Abby, Tennie, Sara and Ginger were playing in the sand while Joaquin, Miles, Alex, Oliver and Kaylin were swimming in the ocean. After that we all got back ordered pizza and had a good time telling jokes and having good food to eat. Once dinner was over we all had our glums and glows for the last time and everybody was emotional. We shared our trip glows, took a look at our awesome photos and shared the things we learned that we will take home with us. Finally, we all wrote cards to each other that told us how much we mean to each other, we had a great last night in the Bahamas. It's off to the airport early tomorrow morning and we're headed for home, looking forward to seeing everyone!

Sincerely

Miles and Joaquin
